I’ve neglected updating any news on this site for over a year…due to changing my mind about the direction of future books. When it comes to writing books, and when it comes to all artistic endeavors, I’ve come to learn the lesson that you can’t please everyone so you got to please yourself. It is a logical fact that if you can’t please yourself, you can’t truly please anyone else. After all, there is really no one else out there. Trying to please others without being able to please yourself is part of the insane ego game of sacrifice. There is no true love in sacrifice. I mention this because I want everyone to know that I don’t just want to crank out books for the sake of cranking out books. I want to make stuff with which I’m completely satisfied.
So anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that I am working on a sequel to The Universe Is a Dream. It is just taking long because I want to do it right. I want to have full confidence in it so I can have the bravado and sense of zero sacrifice to stand by it without any apology. I’m just a few months away from getting to the drawing stage of the sequel. Although I call it a sequel, it is shaping up to be a prequel also. I don’t want to give out details since everything is subject to change until it is finished. Don’t even try to guess what the book will be like, because it’s a weird enough idea that unless you are psychic you’ll have a hard time guessing what it will be like. One thing I will say is that the plan right now is for this book to be in color. The technology has improved enough the last few years to make it economically feasible to print in color and keep the book price relatively cheap. I’ll be able to put out a tentative release date once I get going on the drawing. But until then it is hard to estimate how much longer it will take. Stay tuned. And remember, you can’t please everyone so you got to please yourself.
